Davana oil is extracted from the flowers of the Davana plant by steam distillation method. This oil is used extensively for aromatherapy, thanks to its relaxing effect. It is also used for perfumery and to add flavour to different food and beverages, including pastries and liquor. Davana oil is known to have antiviral and antiseptic properties. It is also used as an excellent mosquito repellent.
