\nCistanche tubulosa is a holoparasitic desert plant that obtains its nutrients from its host plants. It is grown mainly in the Taklamakan Desert and used in the preparation of certain foods and medicines. Also known as Desert hyacinth and Fox radish, this plant is also found in the arid regions of Rajasthan. It is known to be beneficial for constipation resulting from dryness of bowel.
