Native to Europe and?western Asia, it is rich in Aconitic acid, apigenin, avenin, caffeic acid, calcium, carbohydrates, carotene, ?-carotene, chlorine, chlorophyll A and B, pyridoxine, riboflavin, selenium, silicon, and silicon oxide. It also contains ?-sitosterol, sodium, spermidine, spermine, sugars, sulphur, tartaric acid, thiamine, threonine, fibre, rhamnosides, and glucosides. Oat grass is also rich in amino acids, vitamins, and antioxidants.
